Reading animation

 Hi bloggers for a couple of weeks we have been learning about cultural games for Panui (reading).

Cultural games is that we play games from around cultures and countries. The different games that we have played are catch the Dragons tail, Pass the parcel, Tinkling, Kabbadi, Luta de galo and more.          

At the end we had to make a google slide animation of the game that we chose and I chose volleyball and you had to choose a buddy and share the slides with them and my buddy was Huzaifah.

We had to make a lot of slides an we had to do a lot of work and we had to do some text. We had to add some backgrounds and some characters. Here is a link to mine and Huzafah's slideshow.

Hi bloggers we had to teach a game that someone else might not know how to play and so they have to copy our instructions exactly. I was making a game and I chose Hide and Seek tag. You had to try to explain what to do in the game that you chose to do and it had to be listed and you had to add a title and you had add verbs also you had to put the equipment that you have to use. You also have to put a goal like you have to try and hide from the seeker and you have to type a lot of details because there might be some mistakes and they might not understand. After you have put all those details then you have to make a diagram or you can find a diagram from google. Stem Week student led tool kits

 Hi bloggers on Friday we had Student led toolkits and if you do not know what STEM stands for this is what it stands for, Science Technology Engineering and Math's. There were three stations and we had these peices of paper to tell us the three stations we have to go to.

My first station was in Waitemata with Vivian and Hazel and we were learning about Word Art. Word Art is where you put a picture and then put some writing on there then you have to put some colors. My first creation was a dragon picture and then I put some words on there here are the words that I put on the dragon picture. Scorpion Abdullah awesome amazing and that was my words that I put on there and the colors that I used were green, yellow, blue and red. I just wanted it to be simple I didn't want to put too many words because one of the toolkit presenters said if you put too many words then the site will crash. They also said that we could create as many as we want so i made another one. My second creation  was a fire one and this time the words where scorpion sub zero Shao khan and Mortal Kombat. The colors that I used were red, orange and yellow. My third creation was a grim reaper picture and the words that i put on there were scp 096,scp 098,scp 789, and the color that I used was just black.

My second station was Incredibox and that was my favorite station and it was with Kiani and Lily. Here is how you use it . So you have to pick a song and then click it and wait for a minute and then you see some people on the screen and you have to drag these little clothes so you can put on them and then they will make a beat. I really liked my one and I made an awesome song and when we were done doing our beat we had to sit on the mat with our Chromebook and we got a chance to cast our songs on the TV.  I couldn't cast mine on the TV because it wasn't connecting to the TV.

My third station was learning about a webcam toy with Dusty and Daiki and my pictures were very funny and it was so cool. I really liked the fire photo's that I did and there were so many filters that you could use. Me and Shreyas did so many cool ones. I took some fire picture's because that one is the coolest. 

I really liked that day i hope we can do it again. Something

i really learned about is Word Art because i have never used Word Art.

swimming at Cameron Pools

Every Tuesday and Thursday we go to swimming at Cameron Pools and it's so much fun and awesome. At Cameron Pools the first thing I did was boat safety and I think that is the best one out of all of them but its only my opinion.The first thing we did was line up to go on the boat and after some people got on I got on and the boat was so wobbly and I nearly tripped off the boat.

Then my swimming instructor pulled us in the boat and then she tipped the boat over and we all fell down except for three people. We all fell in the water then we had to get under the boat because the swimming instructor pulled the boat upside down and then we had to go under the water and get out of the boat. 

After we got out of the boat then we had to go on the boat and there was a rope that we had to hold on to then we had to pull really hard on the rope till it flips over and I did it. And she told us to dive in the water and then get up out of the water and say help!.And I really like Cameron pools because they taught us how to get out of the boat safe.

                                                        

Making Fortune Tellers

Hi bloggers today we made a fortune teller with Ms McGrath and it was very fun. First we got a piece of paper and there was a lot of steps so I can't remember all the steps because it took to long to do also you have to fold a lot of times. After I was having a lot of trouble making it right so Lewis helped me and Kiani because it was kind of hard to fold it correctly.

After so much folding you can colour  it and you can't just colour the hole thing one color because there are going to be some triangles that you have to colour in and it was kind of easier than folding the paper.

The colours I did are red blue green and yellow also after you have colored it then you have to open the inside and write some numbers  up to eight so actually I didn't open the inside I just wrote the numbers without even opening the inside and you can do that to if you want to.

After you have done the numbers then you open the card again and on each number you have to write a nice complement to anybody even your family and your friends and they will be amazed of how you have made this you can even give to your cousins and you can make one for your self because maybe some times your mad and just get your fortune teller and there are some things that can help you out.

Maybe you could have a go at making one. 

 

ANZAC Day

 Hi bloggers on Wednesday the teachers put wire so it could look like a trench and it kinda did. Our first activity was a basic math test under gun fire and some how i did better then usual. I was very proud of myself and the trench was really cool. We also did some ANZAC math's and it was really fun and we had to get into two groups and to see how much years the wars have been going on for.

After we did our ANZAC maths it was fruit break and we had to eat it inside the trench. It took a long time to do because we had to keep passing the box around. Then when we finished our fruit we had to put it in the fruit bin but that took a long time to do two because we had to keep passing it. After our fruit break we did some exercise like push ups but we couldn't touch the strings because then we would have to do more push ups.

We had to do a letter to our family and it has to be like your actually in the war writing a letter to them. After we did a letter to our family then we had to do an acrostic poem and it has to be a army word I didn't do much on mine because I chose the word soldier.

Then it was morning tea an then it was raining then Mr Hing Windsor opened the door to the hall then we played a game then we had to go in groups of four also some of us went swimming  and some of us went back in the class and I got to go swimming. After swimming we did a pictograph with Mrs Sands and it was about the Turkey and Australians also NZ.

After every thing then we had to take down the wires and we had to be with a partner then we had to put a blind fold on the other person and they had a popsical stick then they had to unwind it. I

t was a really fun day.
